Conversations in an Elevator
This is a blog about the things I experience and the people I meet inside elevators.

It is my belief, that this world is slowly spiraling down to deep pit of loneliness. Nearly everyone in this world has experienced the awkwardness of an elevator ride. Everyone piles in to this cold metal box and each press the button leading to their respective floors. The type of people that one sees in an elevator are never the same. In the corner there is a stuffy business man holding a briefcase with a bit of his breakfast still hanging on the edge of his collar. There is a woman with a baby and deep blue circles under her eyes. There is a girl and her mother who look as if they have just had another fight. And there is a man wearing a wretched holiday sweater that was probably given to him by his grandmother. And then there is me, who observes them all. At the beginning of this year I made a promise to myself that I would start a blog about the people I meet in elevators. I will not let a single time in an elevator pass where I do not speak to any of them. After all, why must we have to stand surrounded by other people without engaging in conversation? We are all people and are all interesting in our own ways. As the old song goes, "It's a small world after-all." So why not take every chance we have to make the world a small world after all?
